Entrance Exam

Entrance Exams for admission to Finnish Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) depend on the institution and level of program you aspire for. Usually, admissions are based on a combination of matriculation examination results and entrance exams, with some institutions also considering interviews, Assignments, or other assessments. For bachelor's degree programs taught in English at UAS institutions, the International UAS Exam is commonly used.

The major intakes at all universities are September and January, with some institutions additionally offering Rolling, Separate, and Joint Application.


English Proficiency Requirements

For Bachelor’s: 

  • IELTS: 6 (NBLT 5.5)
  • PTE: 55
  • TOEFL: 80
  • Without English Language Proficiency is also accepted (Specific Program)

For Master’s:

  • IELTS: 6.5 (NBLT 5.5)
  • PTE: 58
  • TOEFL: 92
  • Without English Language Proficiency is also accepted (Specific Program)

Academic Eligibility

Undergraduate - Bachelors 

  • GPA 60% in HSC / A Level

Postgraduate - Masters

  • CGPA 2.50+
  • 2 Years of Work Experience is a prerequisite for Master's Programs at certain universities

Living Cost-

  • Student- 800 Euros Per Month
  • Spouse- 610 Euros Per Month
  • Child 1- 610 Euros Per Month
  • Child 2- 480 Euros Per Month
  • Child 3 & Onwards- 360 Euros Per Month

 Part-time Work: 30 Hours per week

Minimum wage: 12-14 euros per hour

Post Study Work Permit: 2 years for both Bachelor's & Master's


Study Gap:

  • For Bachelor's- Long gap accepted (Minimum 21 Years Old)
  • For Master's- Long gap accepted

Processing Time: 2-3 Months

Fund Requirements: 1500000 to 3500000, depending on the number of your dependents

Bank Statement

The amount you need to show on your bank statement if you are a single student;

  • Living Cost: 800 Euro * 12

The amount you need to show on your bank statement if you are a student with dependent/s;

  • Living Cost: 800 Euro * 12 + 610 Euro * 12
  • For one child, 610 Euro * 12 will be added
  • For the Second child, 480 Euro * 12 will be added
  • For the Third child & Onwards, 360 Euro * 12 will be added

Note: You must have a surplus amount in your account to avoid international rate fluctuations.

Fees 

  • Health Insurance 197 euros
  • Enter Finland fee for Applicant 450 Euros, Spouse 530 Euros, and Child 270 Euros

Important

There are Indian Visa and Travel costs associated with the application process, specifically regarding the VFS for the Finnish Embassy in India, as there is NO VFS Global for the Finnish Consulate available in Bangladesh. So, this cost will be added, and you will need to obtain an Indian Visa as well.
